Malony, Linda Kay Lyons

Excerpt from her article in The Crescent, 2014: In 2011, Linda and her Council developed and introduced an updated mission, vision and guiding principles. “Defining who we are as an organization and succinctly and clearly articulating it was an important and historical milestone for Gamma Phi Beta, and a personal joy. The previous mission statement was a little lengthy, and we wanted to condense it into something everyone could latch onto and easily articulate,” Linda explains. “After lots of meetings, emails and discussion, we all voted and affirmed, ‘To inspire the highest type of womanhood’ would be our new mission statement. The impact hit us very much as individuals and as a team in a way that I think surprised all of us.” Linda Lyons Malony served as International President from 2008-12.
