Skinner, Alida Helen Moss
Alida Helen Moss Skinner (Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, 1915), daughter of Frances Elizabeth Haven Moss (Syracuse, 1874), is the only daughter of a Founder to become a Gamma Phi Beta. Alida graduated from Urbana High School and attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She was initiated into Omicron Chapter (Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) in 1915. (Her mother Frances had helped found Omicron Chapter in 1913.) During her time in university, Alida was a member of the Athenian Literary Society and Phi Beta Kappa.

She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1918. On June 15, 1922, Alida married Bertram E. Skinner. The couple then made their home in Rockford, Illinois. Alida remained devoted to Gamma Phi Beta throughout her life.
