Arnold, Elizabeth Anne Fee
Wisdom from her article in The Crescent, 1955: September calls us from summer haunts back to work. The challenge of a new beginning is exciting. There is the fresh desire to accomplish the worthwhile, to do better than we have done before. The Gamma Phi Beta in college will strive to improve her scholarship record, to choose wisely from among the myriad of activities open to her, to continue to the welfare of her chapter and to maintain the highest standards of personal conduct. The Gamma Phi Beta out of college returns to her fall program – career or family – with new zest. One finds her place among the many loyal alumnae who give themselves to a college chapter with a devotion that knows no limit. Another consecrates herself to a Gamma Phi Beta philanthropy. Gamma Phi Beta is fortunate to have many loyal members who feel a personal responsibility for the attainment of our ideals…This will be the year of forward look as we cast our eyes toward our 1965 Convention…the great drawing power as we gather from our campuses and communities will be the desire to have a part in our Sorority affairs. We want to feel a sense of unity and fellowship with our sisters as we plan for the days that lie ahead. Elizabeth Fee Arnold served as Grand President from 1954-58.
